Edo’s wedding show was a smashing success!

March 29, 2010

Perhaps the best show so far in 2010, the Bridal show at the Patch Thibaud was fantastic. All sorts of guests were present: from the VIP, to the talented designers, to the fashionistas from all over SL. Even M Linden came to see his first show!

While the lag was bad, and some minor mishaps always occur, the show went through without a hitch. Kay Fairey ran it with her usual style and aplomb; everyone was well synched and – oh what to say of the dresses and outfits! All the models looked great; the ladies were lovely and the men a sight to see!

Jewelry was provided for us by Virtual Impressions – I even had something made last minute for one of my dresses!

But enough, I’ll let you judge for yourselves….

I’m proud to have been a part of such a wonderful event!

The show was photographed by Bourbon Zenovka, and you can view the pictures at  http://www.flickr.com/photos/bourbie_doll/sets/72157623741025456/

Garçons Tokyo

March 10, 2010

When I first had the pleasure of walking into the Garçons store, I was impressed with the stylish, open feeling of the boutique.  The dresses are artistically displayed, and browsing the shop for just the right dress is relaxing and enjoyable.  Analog Jun sent us a few of his favorite picks, so follow us on a trek through his star-studded universe.

The Metoer girls

Meteor in Champagne and Pink

Our first selection is Meteor.   This versatile dress can be worn either with a full skirt for evening formal occasions, or the most darling little bubble skirt for more casual events.  The long skirt features lacey layers over a satin base, while the bubble skirt has delightful layers of frills.  Two versions of the top are included, distinguished by their subtly different hues.  The folds and wrinkles on the bodice are among the most realistic I have seen, simply amazing!  Meteor is available in six colors (pink and champagne are shown), each priced at L$645.

Stella

Stella is another festive party dress.  The blend of deep, rich colors with finely woven white gives the fabric an almost sparkly appearance.  Stockings are included, and a sheer overlaid skirt adds a delicious touch of sex appeal.  Stella is available in seven colors, each at L$580

Vega

Finally, take a look at VegaVega is available in black (shown) or wine.  Analog sent us the black, and it is just stunning.  Starting with an exquisite black and silver bodice, the skirt flows away looking like silver stars against an inky black sky.  I just love how the cut of that dress forms a long, sweeping line from shoulders down to the toes.  Priced at L$500.

Invitation

Bliss Couture
SECOND ANNIVERSARY SHOW
Saturday, March the 6th at 11am

from Azul blog:

Bliss Couture is glad to invite you to its Second Anniversary Fashion Show, a very special Event to celebrate all the beauty and style of Amutey DeCuir and her stunning creations.

The Event, organized by Boulevard Agency, will be held at the Patch Thibaud Auditorium on Saturday, March the 6th at 11am.

Some of the most beautiful models will wear the famous signature’s gowns and new ones. It would be a pleasure to have you with us to celebrate this great Event.

Angel Dessous

March 2, 2010

When the name “Angel Dessous” comes up, I think our eyes glaze over, imagining romantic evenings in pretty lingerie, looking irresistible for that special someone.  Well, that’s part of the story, but Angel Dessous is so much more.  When you come to the store, you can find casual outfits and stunning formal wear, as well as the lingerie.  So we would like to show you a sampling of some of the fine couture that you can find when you shop at Angel Dessous.

First, we would like to tease you with a look at Glamour.  This is a fun set, which can be worn several different ways to suit the mood.  A long or short corset can be worn with or without garters, and the bra can be worn without the corset.  Both matching and black gloves come with the set.  You will want to shake your tail feathers when you shimmy into Glamour.  Available in fire, gold, aubergine, forest, silver, and glacier (shown).  Price is L$350 each color.

The classic look of "Glamour"

Let’s call to mind hot summer nights in Madrid.  Black Spanish lace, criss-crossed straps in the back, and a ruched satin bodice.  Finish with black velvet gloves, and you have Iberia. Available in azzurro (shown), negro, rosso, topazia, verde, and viola.

Iberia Azzurro

For a deceptively innocent look, consider Eternity.  This lingerie set can be worn with skirt and blouse both open or closed.  Available in three colors, L$320 each.

Eternity White, shown open and closed

Our next lingerie set is IceLand.  Oh, no, you won’t be mistaken for the ice queen in this lingerie.  On the contrary, you will be the one to heat up the night!   IceLand id available in white, creme,  light blue, red, pink, and black (shown), L$320 each color.

IceLand lingerie in black

Sometimes the occasion calls for a vintage look.  For such events, Angel Dessous offers  Delight.  Ah, but let’s not mistake “vintage” for prudish.  As you would expect from Angel Dessous, lace in just the right places shows, shall we say, just what is needed.  Delight is priced at L$650, and available in 6 colors.

Virtual Impressions

February 28, 2010

SLNymph has recently been featuring quite a bit of formal wear, so this is an opportune time to do a little accessorizing.  Today we are going to tease you with a sampling of some of the treasures at Virtual Impressions.  Here you will find casual bangles and formal sets, prim-feetie shoes, and what can become the center-piece of an outfit: boots.  So have a look at what Virtual Impressions has to offer.  We hope you enjoy!

Boots, pearls, and bangles define a look

How do you use accessories to define your fashion statement?  Let’s take a look at the pieces above.  First of all the Paris Fur boots.  Lace-up boots and fur – difficult to imagine a sexier combination.  And the ivory of the boots with the gold laces and fur make a soft and exquisite color combination.  Carry that classy look through with the Madison pearl necklace and earring set, and then add some zest with gold Metallic bangles.  The Madison set is available in snow white, antique white, chocolate (shown), and black, and the bangles in bicolors with gold or silver metal bases.

Chrissy’s style covers quite a variety of looks, items and moods. Another beautiful jewelry parure she has is Patricia:

  • Is is a lovely necklace and earrings set with sapphire stones and diamonds.
  • It can be paired up rather nicely with the Constance ring shown here:

If you’re going to an elegant night out, you’ll need shoes. Here I’m showing you two of her prettiest sandals, Frances and Amelia. Both come with a hud, and you can change the color of the skin, the shoe or the nailpolish in every possible way:

AmeliaFrances

On the other hand, you could decide to go clubbing or on a simple casual night out with your girlfriends. Chrissy has several things to make you the one watched by the men and envied by the ladies!
Put on a short skirt , a top and then comes the fun: accessorize!
Let’s start with some bracelets to catch the eye. These are Virtual Impressions’ bangles:

Bangles

Next comes something for your feet, to go walking, be comfortable and show off your legs all at the same time: a lovely pair of boots good for this time of the year!

Choe boots

Diamonds are a must-have for any woman who, from time-to-time, finds herself in the ballroom, at the country club, or even just out shopping with the girls.  Here we show Virtual Impressions’ Sabrina necklace and earrings.  With diamonds set in delicate vines of silver, Sabrina adds a lovely pattern around your throat.

Adding sparkle to the evening with Sabrina diamonds

What? I didn’t mention the lingerie? Well maybe.. in an upcoming post!

Designer(s) Name: Chrissy Ambrose

Bio:
From the Uk, Former Graphic Designer. Virtual Impressions began March 2007 with a few shoe designs in a small 50 prim mall spot.

I began working with prims in January that year, after reading some useful blogs. I had little experience with photoshop at that time, so I felt prims were much easier to work with after learning the basics.
The shoes I made back then were sparkly and very primmy with lots of bling.
I gradually expanded the footwear to include some boots and added a very small number of necklaces. At the same time I expanded the number of mall outlets to about 15 before buying my first plot of land for a mainstore in June 2007.
my range now has about 65% Jewelry, mostly formal with precious stones, and footwear the remaining 35%.

Currently have 1 main store , a wedding and accessories store and around 50 smaller outlets in malls or clubs .

Most of the items I make now are with sculpted prims  of which a large proportion I make myself.

I also have the honour of making prim items, shoes, jewelry and some other items, for edo Tone, for his brand Styles of edo.

I still enjoy the creative side of sl as much as ever , and try to produce something new at least every 2 weeks.

I am always learning and hopefully improving my skills.
